has been named the Sharp Presents the National League Player of the Month
for August.

The right-handed hitting slugger batted .415 (44-for-106), with seven doubles,
nine home runs, 25 RBI and 21 runs scored in August. He led the N.L. in
batting average and ranked second in hits, tied for second in home runs and
was third in RBI.

The 36-year-old left fielder recorded a hit in 24 of 29 games played,

month (August 3rd vs. Arizona, August 29th and August 30th at Arizona).
His back-to-back four hit games marked the first time in his career that he
accomplished that feat.

The 12-time All-Star homered in consecutive games on August 2nd and 3rd vs.
Arizona, and again on August 6th and 7th at St. Louis. On August 30th at
Arizona, Ramirez recorded the 51st multi-home run game of his career with
two home runs and also collected his 500th career double.

including eight two-RBI games and two three-RBI performances. Ramirez is
hitting .326 (155-for-476) on the season with 30 home runs and 97 RBI.

Red Sox
