ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Pitcher Vicente Padilla is staying with the Texas Rangers, agreeing to a $33.75 million, three-year contract Saturday that includes a $12 million club option for 2010. The signing keeps one of the top free-agent starters with a team desperate for pitching. Padilla went 15-10 with a 4.50 ERA. "It's exciting to have Vicente back in the fold for the next few years," general manager Jon Daniels said. "He was a horse for us last year, and demonstrated he can pitch and win in our park." Padilla threw 200 innings and set a career high for wins. After beginning his career with Arizona, the 29-year-old right-hander pitched for the Philadelphia Phillies from 2000-05, making the NL All-Star team in 2002. He will pitch in the rotation behind right-hander Kevin Millwood. Millwood went 16-12 with a 4.52 ERA last season, his first with the Rangers, after being the team's key free-agent addition. The Rangers, who have not made the playoffs since 1999, went 80-82 and were third in the AL West. They had a team ERA of 4.60, eighth of 14 AL teams. from FSN Vicente Padilla與遊騎兵簽下3y33.75m +12m選擇權 -- ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 220.134.48.40
