Round 2:
跟 Round 1 一樣，從單循環改成雙淘汰，
以避免勝率相同時還要比勝負關係, ER, ERA, AVG, SLG, 擲銅板, ...
Round 2 以後的場地還未確定，可能是 Dodger Stadium 和 PETCO Park
As soon as a team losses its second game in each of the first two rounds, it
is eliminated. Once two teams have lost out, the other two move on to the
next round.
決定了前兩名後，最後一場不用打，落到敗部那個就是第二名，前文也一起修正
Semifinals:
單淘汰，但是改成 cross-over 交叉準決賽，
所以準決賽的對手，在 Round 1&2 一定不會遇過
2006年的情況
Pool 1: JPN, KOR, USA, MEX 前兩名JPN.KOR
Pool 2: CUB, PUR, VEN, DOM 前兩名CUB.DOM
準決賽: JPN vs KOR, CUB vs DOM 日韓在這裡交手第三次
2009年的改變
Pool 1 (1) vs Pool 2 (2) (JPN vs DOM)
Pool 2 (1) vs Pool 1 (2) (CUB vs KOR)
Finals:
沒什麼好變的
總結:
Round1 和 Round2 的小組賽程都從六場減為五場，全部賽程由39場減為33場
兩隊最多還是會交手三次，但會是 Round1, Round2, Finals
