Blashpemy的解釋比較接近的。美國棒球用語裡，Throw behind the runner
的意思是傳到跑者的前一個壘。最常發生是在外野傳一二壘抓跑過頭的跑者，
或補手捉離壘太遠的跑者也是。(現在NYY的某人可能是歷史上最常throw behind
the runner的人 XD)
底下是google一下的例句
"In all rounds, the runner should never retreat back to first base until being
stopped. When retreating back to first base after the round, the eyes should
maintain contact with the ball, rather than turning away from the ball.
Turning away from the ball only serves to have either the center fielder or
right fielder throw behind the runner.
這是在講跑壘剎車後，回壘時要看球。散步回一壘會被中左外野throw behind the
runner。

這是在講左外野手不要長傳一壘，除非打者已經完全放棄進二壘
為甚麼never throw behind the runner，老實說我也不知道。可能經驗法則說
失敗的損失遠大於抓到的機會....
