Yankees first packaged Orlando Hernandez with a large chunk of
his anticipated 2003 salary to Chicago,
for right-hander Antonio Osuna
and minor-league pitcher Delvis Lantigua.
The White Sox then dealt "El Duque"
and the $2 million in cash,
right-hander Rocky Biddle and outfielder Jeff Liefer
to Montreal in return for Colon and a
minor-league infielder Jorge Nunez.
