[樂迷] Drones聽後腦補心得

偷跑聽了好幾天的新專輯，

雖說之前就陸陸續續發布了好幾首歌，

但不是一整張專輯聽下來其實沒什麼太多感觸。

畢竟Muse的音樂除了好聽之外，更多的是Matt在音樂背後想要傳達的理念啊!

在此引用些Musewilk的資料跟大家討論一下這張專輯到底在唱些什麼～

Drones 可以是工蜂，無人飛行機，配合封面可以解釋為

所有人都是被操控的，被目前的社會系統，操控者上方也還有操控者。


第一次聽這張覺得Muse是否被歌迷們逼得緊了，寫了好幾首的芭樂歌，

不像Resistance這般一次放三首大規模的搖滾交響曲。

聽第二次才發覺這張格局大的不得了，整張專輯就是一個完整的故事

一路聽下來就好像看了一場電影一樣。

根據Matt自己的解釋，Drones這張專輯是講一個人從一開始被遺棄失去希望，

接者被系統教化成為人造工蜂(Human Drone)，最後逃離了施壓者的故事。

1. Dead Inside

在這首歌當中，主角失去了他對自己生命的熱愛，

覺得失去了一切希望，被遺忘了般，萬念俱灰四處漂泊。

直到遇到了下一首歌的操練軍士，Bride後結尾前兩段：

My lips feel warm to the touch
My words seem so alive
My skin is warm to caress
I'll control and hypnotise

You've taught me to lie
Without a trace
And to kill with no remorse
On the outside I'm the greatest guy
Now I'm dead inside!

主角在此第一次轉變，人生獲得新生！

2 &3. [Drill Sergeant]+Psycho

[Recruit:]
AYE SIR!

不得不說這首歌的Riff有夠洗腦的啊!!

正如這首歌的riff而當中所發生的故事也一樣，

主角正被軍事教育，一步一步教化、洗腦。

Love, it will get you nowhere
You're on your own
Lost in the wild
So come to me now
I could use someone like you
Someone who'll kill on my command
And asks no questions

對社會，對人生感到迷惘失望的人都被聚集於此，

一一轉變為Human Drones!

4. Mercy

在這首歌中，主角感受到自己的轉變，感到自己不斷的墮落

開始掙扎，希望能有人解救他，希望得到救贖，在一切還來得及之前...

5.Reapers

先說這首歌的字義字典上解釋說是收割機，不過星海爭霸也有一樣的單位

在此可以沿用就是死神的意思啦!

而歌詞大意也很簡單，讓我們看副歌就好

主角在這首歌參加戰爭，從吉他SOLO的旋律腦補，他在此項戰役肯定大發異彩!

"Here come the drones!"

6.Handler

主角與他的上司告白之作，主角十分明白自己的處境，希望能脫離控制

一樣在橋段後面


I won't let you control my feelings anymore
And I will no longer do as I am told
And I am no longer afraid to walk alone
Let me go
Let me be
I'm escaping from your grip
You will never own me again

算是此篇故事的另一個轉折處，仔細聽聽這段激昂的吉他以及Matt的嗓音

扣人心弦，唱絕了主角蠢蠢欲動的心情。

7.[JFK]

J.F.K.即John Fitzgerald Kennedy 著名的美國總統甘迺迪

Muse引用片段演講內容

For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy
that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence:
on infiltration instead of invasion......

April 27, 1961

而甘迺迪總統是在兩年後被刺殺的，這篇演講還沒研究，

好像是以蘇維埃政府為對象，對歷史有研究的出來幫幫忙呀！

8. Defector

Yeah, I'm free
From your inciting
You can't brainwash me
You've got a problem
Free
Yeah I'm free
From society
You can't control me
I'm a defector

JFK的演講似乎是重大的導火線，主角再次重獲自由

不再被系統控制，逃離了控制、成為逃兵，並且發誓要推翻他的政府

9.Revolt

Our freedom’s just a loan
Run by machines and drones
They’ve got us locked into their sights
Soon they’ll control what’s left inside

Don’t try to hide it, don’t tell me it’s not there

You’ve got strength
You’ve got soul
You’ve felt pain
You’ve felt love
You can grow (you can grow)
You can grow (you can grow)
You can make this world what you want
You can revolt

主角已完全脫離控制，堅信自己的信念

並且開始說服其他人起義抗爭!

不過我邊聽歌邊打心得的同時，又有新的腦補

上一首歌結束時有警車鳴笛聲，連貫到這一首，搭配此首歌的意念

會不會表示甘迺迪就是主角刺殺的呢!? 為了推翻強大的社會系統?

10. Aftermath

開頭的吉他音色鏗鏘悲鳴，背景中也可聽到西風瑟瑟，

War is all around
I'm growing tired of fighting
I've been drained
And I can't hide it
But I have strength for you
You're all that's real anymore
I am coming home now
I need your comfort

主角看來完成了自己的天命，內心已逐漸得到填充，帶著疲累的心回到家園

From this moment
From this moment
You will never be alone
We're bound together
Now and forever
The loneliness has gone

找到了心愛的人，心也跟著定了下來，第一篇故事在此圓滿結束。

11.The Globalist

這是專輯第二篇故事，敘述了前面控制第一篇主角的大壞蛋

吉他延續前一首歌悲愴的氣氛，不過可以聽到鼓的節奏為進行曲，

這段可以腦補成大壞蛋一步一步往上爬，平步青雲。

You were never truly loved
You have only been betrayed
You were never truly nurtured
By churches of the state
You were left unprotected
To these wild and fragile lands

But you can rise up like a God
Arm yourself
You can be strong
You can build a nuclear power
Transform the earth to your desire

這邊應該是大壞蛋說服前篇主角的說詞，

以及大壞蛋自己扭曲的意念。

中間旋律一變，變得激昂起來

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Fire.

是的，地球給炸了！其後跟隨著強而有力且不斷重複的riff

其爆炸威力可見一班！

There's no country left
To love and cherish
It's gone, it's gone for good
It's you and me babe
Survivors
To hunt and gather memories
Of the great nation we were

沒了，都沒了，一陣白光後國家、民族、文化都不復存

A trillion memories
Lost in space and time forevermore
I just wanted
I just needed to be loved.

"我就是想要這樣。我只是想被愛。"

沒想到這就是大壞蛋的動機。

12.Drones

Killed by drones

My mother, my father,
My sister and my brother
My son and my daughter
killed by drones

沒想到Matt連詩歌也懂，腦補了幾次終於理解這首歌為何要用詩歌來表達

前一首在節奏變快之前大壞蛋對主角說了一句

Now you have finally have the code
I have given you the code
Fire

原來把地球變得生靈塗炭的執行的就是主角自己！

這時大錯已經鑄成除了向上天告解，也無法可施...

AMEN



邊聽邊草草地打下了落落長的逐歌心得，

一定還有很多Matt要表達的細節沒有被聽到，

不過 正如我所說"洗腦"可是這張專輯的主軸元素呢
