VENUE HALTS MARILYN MANSON CONCERT FOR SAFETY CONCERNS
Marilyn Manson performed last night at "The Freakers Ball" event at
Kansas City International Raceway to approximately 12,000 concert-goers.
During Manson's set a barricade -- used to block the audience from the stage
-- broke twice, the second time causing the venue to stop the show due to
safety concerns.
Manson states: "Even though the show was stopped twice for safety reasons,
we wanted nothing more than to continue to play. Although we were not allowed
to finish the show, we understand that safety needs to come first."
Approximately 100 police officers, some in full riot gear, were called to the
scene. Only minor injuries were reported.
Marilyn Manson will play a special concert tonight in Dallas, Texas and
the Voodoo Festival Saturday in New Orleans, LA.
