Silvestre Worry for Reds
MikaeL Silvestre is a new injury worry for Manchester United -
and he may miss next Saturday's Old Trafford clash with Portsmouth.
The French defender limped off at half time of Saturday's home defeat
by Fulham with a knee injury, which was being assessed by the Reds'
medical staff today.
He was due to be rested for tomorrow night's Carling Cup game at Leeds
in any case, but manager Sir Alex Ferguson is concerned that he may be
out for longer.
With Wes Brown injured and a possible ban hanging over Rio Ferdinand,
United are hoping that tests today will reveal it is not serious.
The Reds will continue with midfield pair Nicky Butt and Eric Djemba-Djemba
at Leeds as Fergie feels they need games under their belt.
