他的一字一句.在英格蘭乃至於整個歐洲足壇.有相當的影響力

關於Keown.這名Andy Gray的前隊友.同時也是他的後輩.
Andy說出了相當中肯的心中感受.最了不起的是.Gray是兵工廠的球迷………….


It would be nice to sit here and defend Arsenal and say they were within
their rights, the way they behaved against Manchester United -
but I can't…
(這句話不知能能不能點醒所有為兵工廠辯護的球迷)

It's very difficult to have any sympathy for their behaviour at certain moments
during the game and certainly on the final whistle as they celebrated a point.
It was un-called for and you simply can't defend the indefensible.

And it was not just the rounding on Ruud van Nistelrooy at the end.
I am also talking about what happened after Patrick Vieira
was sent off and straight after the Dutchman's penalty miss.
I do have some sympathy for Vieira
because his first booking was for his only three fouls in the game a
nd none of them were serious, but once he kicked out at Van Nistelrooy,
Steve Bennett had no option but to send him off.

Even if he didn't make contact, there is the word 'intent' in the rules,
which makes the decision a right one.
(雖然沒有踢到范尼.但是根據規則是應該要給牌)


And I don't think for a moment that van Nistlerooy has done anything
to be ashamed of.He didn't go to ground as if he had been caught,
(Andy說.如果范尼要裝無辜.根本就應該裝倒地不起.但是他沒有)

all he did was step back and look around in amazement at Patrick's reaction.
I think he was genuinely surprised by it
and I thought he came out of the whole episode after the game
with a great deal of credit for refusing to react.
(這裡說明了范尼的反應並沒有不當)

You expect the odd remark when you miss a penalty in such a big game
as van Nistelrooy got, but what happened at the final whistle was a
bsolutely un-called for Players with the experience of Martin Keown,
Ray Parlour and Lauren should know better - especially Keown.
I played in the same team as Martin when he was a kid at Aston Villa
and he is aggressive and he does get involved.
He is everything Arsene Wenger wants him to be and to an extent,
needed him to be given their form going into the Old Trafford game,
but this time he over-stepped the mark.

The big question is what action will be taken.
I know a lot of people are calling for a points deduction,
but I don't think it merited that.
The FA have three options, as I see it:
they can do nothing; charge Arsenal as team,
or charge individuals with various offences,
which will act in the same manner as red cards.
I think the latter is the the course they will take
and for the good of the game, I hope they do it sooner rather than later,
because it is sad that it happened and it is sad that when the
two best teams in the country meet, all we are talking about is indiscipline.

People involved with Arsenal, including ex-players and supporters,
have found it impossible to defend what we saw.
They clearly have a disciplinary problem
and I just can't see how Arsene Wenger can claim
the whole world is against his side after their actions after the
whistle at Old Trafford.
(根據一天來的輿論 包括兵工廠的前隊員及支持者 大多表示溫格的隊伍有嚴重的紀律問題)
