行著續約談判，同時這位連續幾屆的英超射手王首度公開表態，希望在老特拉福德結束自
己的職業足球生涯。
實際上，范尼現在在曼聯隊的周薪僅為4萬英鎊，這個數字只比加裡-內維爾，席爾維
斯特等人略高。不過曼聯隊對留住這位最佳射手的決心相當大，根據英國媒體的猜測，俱
樂部已經為其開出5年價值2400萬英鎊的高額合同，如果范尼最終決定接受續約的話，他的
周薪將達到9萬英鎊，這已經和隊長基恩以及費迪南德，吉格斯的工資持平，在加上肖像權
以及一些廣告贊助合同，范尼一年下來的收入也將不菲。
正因為如此，目前荷蘭前鋒對成功與俱樂部談判信心十足，27歲的范尼對英國媒體透
露，如果能夠與俱樂部在續約問題上達成一致，他本人還是相當希望留在曼聯隊踢球。
范尼在接受記者採訪時表示，「與俱樂部的續約談判正在進行當中，但是現在確實還沒
有和球隊達成一致。」
面對記者「是否可能接受來自西甲聯賽的邀請」，范尼的出人意料的反問記者，「你想
讓我怎麼回答你？有些傳聞並非空穴來風，在職業足球市場上什麼都有可能發生。」
隨後記者拋出最敏感問題，「還需要多長時間可以與球隊續約？」范尼耐心的向記者解
釋，「與曼聯這樣的俱樂部續約是一件值得榮耀的事情，有一點可以肯定，如果能夠和球隊
達成協議，我將在老特拉福德結束自己的足球生涯。」
