Mike Phelan有望執教這支英甲球隊。
在Nelson出生的Phelan曾在1977年成為Burnley的學徒，之後以五年的時間在該俱樂部成為
職業足球員。
他在Sir Alex Ferguson背後工作的表現被Burnley注意到，因此他成為接任主帥位置的大
熱門。候選人還有前Burnley中場球員Brian Flynn，他在三月離開Swansea City後希望能
夠盡快回到管理層去工作。
自從Carlos Queiroz去年夏天加盟Real Madrid後，Phelan就一直成為Fergie的得力助手。
然而如今Queiroz在Bernabeu的前景並不樂觀，如果他被Real Madrid清掃出門的話，
Fergie將會很樂意接回他昔日的好助理。

t on to have five years as a professional at the club.
His work in Sir Alex Ferguson's backroom staff has been noted by the Lancashire
club, and he has become an early favourite for the job - along with another ex
-Turf Moor midfielder, Brian Flynn, who is looking for a quick return to manage
ment after getting the boot from Swansea City in March.
Phelan has been Fergie's No 2 this term following Carlos Queiroz's departure to
Real Madrid last summer.
However, Queiroz's future at the Bernabeu is in major doubt, and if he does get
the boot from the Spanish giants just 12 months on then Fergie could be keen t
o re-install his well-liked former assistant.
