Ruud van Nistelrooy netted a hat-trick for Manchester United
yesterday and in doing so has overtaken James Beattie at the
top of the Premiership goal charts with 24.
Van Nistelrooy "The most important thing was to get the three
points, but obviously it is great personally to have also scored
a hat-trick. The whole team are playing well and it makes it
wonderful as a striker to get so many chances made for you.
But we aren't getting carried away just yet. We have still got
to get a result at Everton and we've got to stay focused." Sir
Alex Ferguson added: "All the players contributed, but obviously
Ruud was excellent. He's on the way to becoming one of the best
strikers this club has ever seen and I can't pay him a bigger
compliment."
