Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is contemplating resting
first-choice goalkeeper Tim Howard for the Champions League tie against
Stuttgart.
Roy Carroll played in last week's Carling Cup defeat at West Brom and the
former Wigan goalkeeper could make a rare European start.

Paul Scholes is also likely to be involved after his comeback from groin surgery
against Aston Villa at the weekend.
Both United and Stuttgart have already qualified for the next stage, but
United need a win to claim top spot in Group E and avoid the likes of
Juventus and Real Madrid in the first knockout stage next year.
