樂部的邀請，在貝爾法斯特的曼聯學校畢業後，他來到老特拉福德。
在2005/06賽季，他是曼聯18歲以下青年隊上陣次數最多的球員，之後一個賽季，他
成為球隊的隊長。
他還獲得預備隊的上陣機會，在2比1擊敗埃弗頓的比賽中，他頭球補射破門打進自己
在預備隊的首粒進球。在曼聯出現防線危機時，弗格森毫不猶豫地把他升入一線隊。
在2006/07賽季，卡斯加特獲得4次進入替補名單的機會，但是因為受傷，他未能在賽

我記得 Cathcart 之前租借出去和在預備隊的表現都不錯
