迪烏夫是首位加盟曼聯的塞內加爾球員，他是2009年7月30日正式成為紅魔一份子。
弗格森當時表示：「我們已經關注了迪烏夫2年。我們本來不打算今夏簽他，但由於
其他俱樂部開始對他出價，因此我們決定現在採取行動。」
不過加盟曼聯後，迪烏夫馬上被租借回莫爾德。在莫爾德他表現最出色的比賽時5-2
大勝布蘭，他在9分鐘內就完成帽子戲法，在第27分鐘打進第四球。在挪威的3個賽季，他
上陣75次打進33球。
在2009年12月獲得工作許可證後，他已經有資格代表曼聯上陣，他獲得32號球衣。在
2010年1月9日作客伯明翰的比賽中，他替換斯科爾斯上陣迎來自己的紅魔處子秀。
迪烏夫是第二位從莫爾德轉投曼聯的前鋒，過去曼聯曾從莫爾德簽下索爾斯克亞，在
1996年夏天加盟曼聯時，這位挪威射手還籍籍無名。弗格森說道：「現在迪烏夫的情況跟
當年的索爾斯克亞很相似，我們發掘了一名有潛力的年輕球員，22歲時，迪烏夫看上去已
經很優秀。」
