Hargreaves heads to US for treatment

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that Owen Hargreaves has travelled to America
to try to get to the root of his long-standing injury problems.
弗格森爵士透露歐文-哈格裡夫斯已經前往美國，尋求根治受其折磨已久的膝傷。
The 27-year-old has been in and out of the Manchester United team since
joining in July last year as a result of tendonitis in his knee.
27歲的他自從去年7月加盟後，就因膝蓋傷病只能斷斷續續地上場比賽。
And, although he has already been to see specialists in London and Sweden,
they are still searching for definitive answers on what is causing the
problem.
雖然他已經造訪了在倫敦和瑞典的專家，但是他們仍在尋找引起問題的確切原因。
"Owen is now in Colorado to see Dr Steadman, who is a very well-regarded
doctor with these particular types of injuries," he said.

"What we are trying to do now is to get to the root of it. He's been
frustrated and patient, but we've never really got to the bottom of it.

"We really need to speed that up now, which is why we're sending him to the
best people available to try and get a general opinion of where to go from
here. We've not had any information back so far.

"Dr Steadman is associated with skiing injuries. There are so many cases of
knee injuries in that sport and he's acquired a great knowledge of knee
injuries, but this particular injury is not associated (with the cases he
normally treats).

"But the boy has been carrying it for too long to keep hoping that injections
are going to do the trick.

He added: "We don't know if he will undergo surgery.

"There wasn't a definite answer from the specialists in London and Sweden.
We will collate all the information and try and see what the best way forward
is.

"He's in pain when he runs. Tendonitis is a problem when he gets involved
in football-related training – that's when it resurfaces.

"He came back last season and played in a number of very important games,
but now he's out again.

Ferguson has revealed that there is positive news on Paul Scholes, however,
who has recovered from his knee ligament injury and could be back in the
first-team by mid-December.

望在12月中旬重回一隊。
United take part in the Fifa Club World Cup in Japan from December 11 to 21
and the former England midfielder is expected to travel to the tournament.
"It's good to see Paul overcome the injury itself," he said.

"He's now back into the physical part of his rehabilitation, which is good.
「現時他在處恢復過程中物理治療的這一環節，情況還不錯。」
"Paul should be available to go to Japan, or he should be involved for the
Spurs game the week before we go."

United will also be without Wes Brown (ankle) for Saturday's game at Arsenal,
while Darren Fletcher (knee) faces a late fitness test.
