Manchester United's Gabriel Heinze has lost his attempt to force the club
to allow him to move to rivals Liverpool. 

United disputed claims from Heinze, 29, who said the Red Devils gave him
written permission to pursue a transfer to another club for a fee of
￡6.8m.

The matter was referred to a Premier League arbitration panel.

The hearing concluded that the written letter Heinze possessed "was
unambiguous in that it envisages only an international transfer".

Reds defender Gabriel Heinze has lost his case to force through a move to
Liverpool.

A Premier League arbitration panel met on Monday and Tuesday to hear Heinze's
case, but the tribunal ended in favour of United.

The 29-year-old Argentina international had claimed that he should be allowed
to make the move to Anfield, a transfer that has not been made since Phil
Chisnal went from Untied to Liverpool in 1962.

"The Premier League Board appointed panel have heard submissions of evidence
from both parties and has ruled to dismiss the player's case," said a Premier
League statement.

A United spokesman told ManUtd.com: "We are pleased that the panel has
endorsed its case."

英超宣判利物浦挖角曼聯失敗 紅魔留住叛臣卻暗埋隱患

    本週二，英超聯盟的特別評審小組做出裁決，阿根廷球星海因策轉會利物浦的申請
被駁回，他將無法如願轉投紅軍。


　　海因策、曼聯和利物浦之間的糾葛在夏季爆發，阿根廷人希望轉會安菲爾德，但曼
聯不允許，為此，海因策以手裡一份曼聯的書面承諾為證據，要求英超聯盟仲裁他可以
轉會。在這份書面承諾中，曼聯允諾只要有買家出價680萬英鎊，他們就會放海因策離
隊，但當利物浦出這個價後，弗格森擔心令爭冠對手實力增強，否決了海因策的轉會要
求。


　　海因策希望通過仲裁來迫使曼聯放人，但這次英超評審小組的判決，讓他轉會利物
浦的希望破滅。


　　英超評審小組在聲明中說：「聽證會得出結論，2007年6月13日的信件（曼聯的書
面承諾），在談論轉會原則時比較模糊，而且主要談論的是國際間的轉會（指海因策轉
會英超之外）。這封信函只能作為曼聯願意商談的證據，但不能作為法律上的證據。」
這樣一來，海因策和利物浦方面唯一的武器已經宣告無效，只要曼聯不允許，阿根廷人
就不能轉會紅軍。


　　不過，雖然曼聯在法律上取得了勝利，但卻仍然留下了一個麻煩。海因策此前明確
表示希望轉會利物浦，已經惹惱了曼聯球迷，並且和球隊上下關係鬧僵，如果他留在曼
聯，能否打上比賽是一回事，對球隊氣氛的影響也許更加重要，因此，弗格森需要立刻
做出決定，是否將海因策出售到英超之外的球隊去，但由於轉會截止日正在接近，達成
交易的難度不小，海因策有可能「砸」在曼聯手中。
