Ole Operation A Success

Manchester United forward Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is convinced he will play
football again after undergoing knee surgery on Monday.
The hugely popular Old Trafford star, who was the subject of several chants
in his honour during Saturday's win over Norwich City, was under the knife
for an hour and a half.
Surgeon Lars Peterson feels it will be a year before his patient is fit enough
to play again and there have been suspicions that his top-flight career is over
.
However, Solskjaer is determined to fight his way back.
"It will be a lot of hard work further down the line," Solskjaer told NRK.
"But the first three to four months will be a test of patience.
"But I will return and play football again.
"He (Sir Alex Ferguson) wished me well and wanted to welcome me back."
Peterson, who operated on the 31-year-old's troublesome knee in Gothenborg,
admitted the player had a massive role to play if he is to resurrect his career.
"It went well and all the bad gristle has been removed and replaced with new
cells," stated Peterson.
"If the training for coming back goes well, and Solskjaer wants it, he will be
back in a year."
Meanwhile, Gabriel Heinze was injured during Argentina's win over Costa Rica
in the Olympics.
The United new boy suffered a hip injury and could miss the semi-finals of the
competition.
