Ipswich Fail In Rossi Bid
Ipswich manager Joe Royle has revealed that he tried to take Giuseppe
Rossi to Portman Road on loan earlier this season.
Royle, a close friend of Sir Alex Ferguson, tried to take the Italian
striker on a short-term deal to boost his striking options - but the
move was rejected by the Scot.

"We did ask about Rossi some while ago and it was a non-starter," the
former Manchester City manager told Sky Sports.
Rossi's scintillating form for the Reserves has seen him bag 21 goals
from 18 starts this term, and he has also notched four first-team strikes.

The 19-year-old is seen as an important member of United's first-team
squad, and he is expected to continue his development in the Reserves'
trip to Birmingham on Tuesday night.
Rene Meulensteen's side will be looking to bounce back from their 3-0 home
defeat to Aston Villa last week.

shown live on MUTV - kick-off is at 19:00.
