Giggs set to miss Euro opener

RYAN Giggs looks set to miss Manchester United's Champions League qualifier
with Hungarian title winners Debrecen at Old Trafford tomorrow.
Giggs has been suffering from a chest infection
and is one of five senior men to miss out along with
Louis Saha (knee),
Wes Brown (Achilles),
Quinton Fortune (knee)
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (knee).
Gabriel Heinze is included in the Red Devils' squad despite playing
just once in pre-season so far, while summer signings Edwin van der Sar
and Park Ji-sung are available to make their debuts.

Gabriel Heinze is likely to return to United's line-up to face Hungarian
side Debrecen at Old Trafford on Tuesday in the Champions League qualifying
stage.
Ryan Giggs (chest infection) misses the match against the Hungarian
champions, while Wes Brown and Quinton Fortune are both back in full
training but are unlikely to feature.
Heinze hasn't played a competitive game for the club since 24 April when
an ankle injury forced him off against Newcastle.
He missed the team's tour of the Far East this summer as Sir Alex Ferguson
gave him extra time to recover from his involvement in the Confederations Cup.
Sir Alex Ferguson also bemoaned the poor luck of Louis Saha, who was last
week ruled out of the start of the season due to a knee injury.
"Louis Saha unfortunately has a knee injury," the United boss said.
"It's an absolute tragedy for the lad considering he had been doing
so well during pre-season.
"Quinton Fortune and Wes Brown are both back in football training now,
but won't be available. But we still have a strong squad."
United will need, according to Sir Alex, who rates his side's opposition
as the best they have faced in the qualifying stages.
"Debrecen have looked excellent in the games I have seen them," he said.
"They look the strongest team we have had to face in the qualifiers.
They're a big, strong side - very powerful.
"They've played seven matches so far this season and have conceded just
one goal and scored 18. It's a good vein of form they have come into for
this game.
"Having said that, I'm pleased with the quality we have been shown leading
up to this match."
