曼聯可能遭遇意甲三大豪門 弗格森坦言大戰剛剛開始

儘管以替補陣容為主的曼聯做客土耳其0比3不敵費內巴切，但主帥弗格森卻對此不以
為然，他認為真正的比賽才剛剛開始。而這場失利也導致曼聯最終得到小組第二，他們將
有60%的機會在1/8決賽對陣意甲三大豪門——尤文圖斯、國際米蘭和AC米蘭。而另外的兩
個選擇就是摩納哥和勒沃庫森，曼聯在近些年都曾在歐戰賽場中對勝，不過最終的結果將
在12月17日抽籤時揭曉。
但弗格森認為即使他們薩拉科格魯球場取勝，他們將要面對的對手也不輕鬆。皇家馬
德里、拜仁慕尼黑和巴塞羅那都是可能的對象，而英超其他三強——切爾西、阿森納和利
物浦也盡皆入圍16強，弗格森認為冠軍聯賽是現在最重要的足球賽事。
「當你開始作為一名教練，你一生中總有一些時刻希望著準備同歐洲最好的球隊對決
，」弗格森說：「當歐洲冠軍杯剛開始的時候，每個國家僅僅只有一個出線名額。現在你
擁有最好的三支球隊，有時歐洲最重要的國家會有四支球隊。你不得不認為這使得冠軍聯
賽成為最好的賽事。對於任何球隊和教練都是最困難的挑戰。」
「我不認為贏得小組第一或第二有什麼很多的區別，」弗格森說：「我們可能會碰到
尤文圖斯、國際米蘭和AC米蘭，但拜仁慕尼黑、巴塞羅那和皇家馬德里也是競爭者。所以
我們能做的就是讓天命來決定最後的結果。」
今晚以替補陣容為主的陣容在比賽中表現欠佳，而此前曼聯曾在主場6比2大勝費內巴
切。但弗格森表示一旦進入二月份的淘汰賽，曼聯將會以主力陣容迎接所有的挑戰。談到
今晚的比賽，弗格森對球隊的後防表現尤其表示不滿，「我們的防守真的很糟糕，」弗格
森說：「這非常令人失望，但我不後悔我所作的安排，作為一名教練最主要工作之一的就
是挑選陣容。」
「我並不是抱怨這個結果，費內巴切理應贏得勝利，但我今晚所挑選的年輕球員如果
再回到這裡應該表現更好一些。」弗格森希望能夠在五月再度回到土耳其參加歐洲冠軍杯
決賽，儘管在此之前他們必須克服更多的障礙。而他們的防線必須應付歐洲最頂尖鋒線的
挑戰，例如特雷澤蓋、捨甫琴科和阿德裡亞諾。雖然曼聯今晚在上半場保持大門不失，但
下半場卻被對手連入三球敗北。
費內巴切主帥是德國人道姆，他在賽後說：「弗格森對我而言是一個偉大的榜樣，我
希望他的球隊進入他們希望的位置，我祝願他每次都取得成功。」

Despite losing 3-0 in their last group game,
Sir Alex was positive about his youngsters' efforts
and looked forward to the Super Sixteen stage of the competition.
Here's what Fergie had to say...
Performance
"We had some good moments attacking in the second half,
we had a couple of good opportunities and in that situation
you have to take one and we didn't do that so the game just
petered out really."
Good experience
"Well there's no question that it's a wonderful experience for them
in terms that losing is never an easy issue when playing at Manchester United
and particularly such a heavy defeat as 3-0, but the next time they come out
in a European situation they'll be far better."
Super Sixteen
"Well it doesn't matter who you get out of Inter, Juventus, AC Milan, Monaco,
Beyer Leverkusen, they'll be wonderful games. You hope that you get through
the next couple of months with everyone ready for that game because we're
always hoping for a bit of luck in terms of injuries coming up to the big
occasions towards the end of February and beginning of March when Europe
really takes off. And there's no question when you look at these teams you're
talking about, it'll be fantastic. In the tournament you hope you'll be
involved with the best teams in Europe and you're in the last sixteen with
a great chance."
