Fortune back in training

The 28-year-old from Cape Town has missed the entire season so far after
last appearing in the FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal.
A knee operation was followed by complications in his recovery and Fortune
has been missed by Sir Alex Ferguson, who would probably have turned to the
tenacious ex-Atletico Madrid man in his desperate search for central midfield
reinforcements.
Obviously Fortune will not be rushed back into action, which will be a
shame for the player with the Carling Cup final against Wigan Athletic
on the horizon, but it will be hoped he can make a first team comeback
before the end of the campaign.
With Fortune out of contract in the summer, he will be looking to prove
his worth to Ferguson in an attempt to earn fresh terms.
Fortune To Return
Quinton Fortune will return to first-team training with Manchester United
today, setting his sights on a return to action that will decide his Old
Trafford future.
Fortune's United career has been dogged by injury and a knee problem has
stopped him playing since last season's FA Cup Final.
The South African will be a welcome addition to United's depleted midfield,
but it is unclear whether he will earn a new contract.
