Ronaldo Faces UEFA Action
Cristiano Ronaldo has been charged with misconduct by UEFA after an
incident in United's Champions League defeat at Benfica.
The Portuguese winger has been charged for a gesture towards the home fans
as he was substituted during the disastrous match which saw United crash
out of European competition.
Ronaldo endured a torrid evening in the Estadio da Luz as his every touch
was jeered by the home supporters before he eventually made way for the
introduction of Ji-sung Park.
Cristiano's hearing has been scheduled for Thursday 2 February.

If Ronaldo is found guilty, he will almost certainly be forced to serve a
suspension, although that will not take effect until next season as they
are out of the Champions League.
After the match, Ronaldo said the abuse he suffered was over the top.
"There was nothing to justify the way the crowd treated me," he said.
