”It is always a great moment when they sing my name,” he beams. “I was at
the game at the weekend [against Crystal Palace] and I heard the crowd
singing my name and it made me very proud. But at the same time I am afraid
that maybe one day it will stop.
”During the time I was banned the fans helped me a lot. When you go through
a bad moment you know who your friends are and I realised that with them. It
was a difficult time for me but their support, along with that from my
team-mates and the manager, helped me a lot.
”It’s like a love story but there’s always a worry that it will finish one
day.”
