曼聯後衛伊文斯透露，他對自己過去12個月的戲劇性進步感到震驚。租借到安特衛
普和桑德蘭的北愛後衛說：「足球裡的變化讓人驚訝，我在安特衛普的目標還是在那裡
能夠打主力，我希望證明自己的能力不應該只在那裡踢球，然後去其他地方。感謝桑切
斯(前北愛主帥，現富勒姆主帥)給了我參加國際賽的機會，在對西班牙的比賽中，我把
握住了自己的機會，從此進了國家隊。那讓我有了參加英冠桑德蘭比賽的機會，在那裡
我也很順利，這對我來說是個偉大的賽季。」
伊文斯希望幫助曼聯奪冠：「一旦弗爵爺說你留在球隊，你就留下，就這麼簡單。
我是個曼聯球迷，我希望他們成為最好的，能夠盡可能多地奪冠。如果我也能夠成為捧
杯的一員，那就超級棒。」

"Roy wanted me back but Sir Alex wanted me here," Evans told PA Sport.
"It's a win-win situation. If I'd gone to Sunderland I'd get a year in
the Premiership; if I stay here I'm involved with the biggest club in
the world and learn from fantastic players.
"I hope Sir Alex says I play for United this season. I'm a United fan
and I want the team to win as many trophies as they can and hopefully
I'll be lifting one of them by the end of the season. But my main aim
is to try and improve."
While his heart will always be with the Reds, Evans admits he'll keep a
close eye on Sunderland's results in 2007/08. "They were good to me and
I made a lot of friends up there, I hope Sunderland do well."
