United Stars As You've Never Seen Them Before
Edwin van der Sar, Wayne Rooney and Louis Saha have revealed
their secret training ground weapon…the frisbee!
A new educational DVD called ‘Everyday United’ features the players
as they have never been seen before - playing frisbee, golf,
ditching the team bus in favour of walking, cycling and boxing.
The limited edition DVD, which encourages people to build physical activity
and sport into their everyday lives, is part of United’s support
for Sport England’s recently launched Everyday Sport campaign
and will be distributed free and exclusively to schools across the country
in November.
Ruud van Nistelrooy, who took part in a speed-walking exercise
for the video, says the team were more than happy to lend their support
to the campaign.
He said: “Sometimes we take our health for granted.
This film underlines the importance of simple, regular exercise
and the need for Wayne to take golf lessons!”
