http://www.manutd.com/news/fullstory.sps?iNewsid=261631 We'll be ready for Chelsea - Sir Alex 28/10/05 1:19 PM Sir Alex Ferguson wants two away victories against Middlesbrough and Lille so United are primed to take on reigning Premiership champions Chelsea at Old Trafford next Sunday. Sir Alex does not want his team to be distracted by the fixture with Jose Mourinho's side, and is keen to ensure the Reds pick up three Premiership and Champions League points in their next two games. United missed the opportunity to close the gap on the league leaders to eight points after both sides earned 1-1 draws against Tottenham and Everton respectively last weekend. But the Reds boss will not linger on missed opportunities. "We always say this, teams have runs and they have blips and bad spells of form. It comes to everyone," he told reporters on Friday. "The most important thing for us is to make sure we win our games over the next two matches and look at the Chelsea game and say 'we're ready for them, let's get at them'. And I think we'll be ready." United's away form is not a concern for Sir Alex's side, who are unbeaten on their travels this season. It is the team's home results that are worrying. But, according to Ferguson, training has been geared to putting that right, with the United boss demanding his side "kill teams off" at Old Trafford in future. The next league opportunity they get to do that happens to be one of the most important fixtures in the Premiership calendar. "We're not killing teams off at home, there is no question of that," Sir Alex acknowledged. "The Tottenham game had a familiar ring about it. The goal, for instance, came with 16 minutes to go as it did in the City game. You've then not got much time to get back in front. "In the case of our home matches, we're not finishing teams off. The chances we had against Blackburn for example; we should have been well ahead in that game. "That's an area which we are looking at, we're trying to improve ourselves at home. that would make a hell of a difference to our position."
