Ole offered contract carrot

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be offered a new Manchester United contract,
providing the Norwegian returns to full fitness.

The experienced attacker has recently returned to the United first team
after missing over 18 months due to a knee injury.
Though Solskjaer is still some way off peak sharpness, Red Devils boss
Sir Alex Ferguson has been encouraged by the player's comeback.
And Ferguson is ready to prolong Solskjaer's stay at Old Trafford for
another season, if he is convinced the club favourite is over all of
his problems.
"I have spoken to David Gill about the situation and if Ole comes through
this injury, we will be talking to him," said Ferguson.
"It is a measure of the man that I never doubted he would come back
because it has taken a lot of determination.
"We are not seeing him at his best at the moment, but there were two
brief moments on Wednesday when we saw the real class he has.
"He has this fantastic movement and exceptional positional play and vision.
It is all about games for him now and the more he gets the better he will be."
Solskjaer is in the squad for the Super Sunday clash against Liverpool,
having started both FA Cup games with Burton Albion.
Ferguson is keen to give Solskjaer plenty of opportunities and he is hoping
the 32-year-old can rediscover his best form.
He added: "The really great thing about this comeback is he has not missed
a training session which is absolutely terrific for him and us.
"It doesn't matter how old you are, when you have been out for 18 months it
takes you a while to get back into the swing of things.
"But all we want to do now is give him as many matches as we can, see some
improvement and hopefully get him back to somewhere near the level he was
before."
