"Paul Scholes has a medical condition affecting the vision in his right eye,"
said a club statement.

"It is not a football related injury. A number of specialists have all agreed
that he needs three months' rest."

"Obviously, it is a disappointment for Paul and Manchester United that he
will miss the rest of the season.

"We look forward to having him back for pre-season training."

另外Smith和O'Shea也都有傷...

    北京時間1月24日消息，曼聯中場斯科爾斯因為眼睛問題，將缺席本賽季。


　　曼聯發表的一份申明說：「斯科爾斯右眼的視線模糊，並非與踢球有關的傷。經過專
家團的診斷，斯科爾斯需要休息三個月。」這樣，斯科爾斯將無法代表曼聯參加本賽季餘
下的比賽。俱樂部方面稱希望在季前訓練中，斯科爾斯能夠重回隊伍。


　　自從去年12月28日同伯明翰的比賽中，斯科爾斯和對手衝撞導致頭部受傷後，他的視
力就變得模糊不清。那場比賽之後，他立即被送往曼徹斯特當地的一位眼科專家處就診，
但這位享譽世界的專家並未發現斯科爾斯的病症所在。


　　31歲的斯科爾斯將自己的青春奉獻給了老特拉夫德，服役11年來為 曼聯出場500次，
射入130個球。曼聯六次英超冠軍也有他的一份功勞，還有1999年的 冠軍杯。2004年歐錦
賽後，斯科爾斯從國家隊退役，共打進14個球。
