Kieran Craves More Action
Kieran Richardson is determined to stay in the United side
after an impressive display against Liverpool.
Making his first league start for the Reds, the England international
staked his claim for Gabriel Heinze's left-back berth
by helping United to secure yet another clean sheet.
"I really enjoyed it," said Richardson, after the game.
"Unfortunately for Gabi, he's picked up a bad injury but all I can do
is keep training well and do my best when I get the chance.
If it's good enough I'll stayed there, but if it's not I know
I'll be out of the team.
"Concentration is the most important thing.
The gaffer and my defensive team-mates have been giving me
a lot of tips during training and games and the more I play in that position
the better I'll become.
"I played there during pre-season and I know I just need to
keep gaining experience."
While Richardson and his team-mates were delighted with
their seventh clean sheet of the season, they were disappointed
not to have come away from Anfield with all three points.
"They're a good side and they put a lot of pressure on us,
but we were upset in the changing room afterwards
that we hadn't managed to get the win," he admits.

"I don't think many teams are going to come here and get a result
because it's a hard place to come to."
