Solskjaer Hopes For Slight Return
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes to start tonight's Reserve team clash with
Aston Villa as he continues to recover his match fitness.
The Norwegian's return from a long-term knee injury suffered a setback
when he sustained a slight hamstring tweak after the FA Cup replay
against Burton Albion, but he is now ready for action.
"I have been training for the past few days," he told MUTV. "It (the
injury) is one of those things that happen when you have been out for
a while.
"After a couple of weeks with the physios again I am ready to get back
on the pitch. My knee is holding up and doing what I want it to do so
I am very pleased."
Solskjaer started both FA Cup matches against Burton and also made a late
cameo in the December draw at Birmingham, but he is aiming to hone his
fitness further with more Reserve games before a full first-team return.
"I think I will need a couple of reserve games before I can get back in
the first team," he said.
News of tonight's team will appear first on ManUtd.com, and the
top-of-the-table clash will be shown live on MUTV. Kick-off is at 7pm.
