Ruud: I won't give up on United 我絕不會背棄曼聯

Van Aiming To Do His Utmost For The Cause
Ruud van Nistelrooy insists he will do all he can to help
turn things around at Old Trafford.
The Dutchman admits the team are going through the most difficult period
he's experienced during his time at the club, which has included
the recent demoralising defeats to Middlesbrough and Lille.
Nevertheless, van Nistelrooy, who skippered the Reds in Roy Keane's absence
in Paris on Wednesday night, is determined to help put things right.
“When I joined this club I thought we were unbeatable
and I enjoyed the good times," he told The Sun. "Now we are going through
the bad times I’m not going to just give up on the club.
“I am going to give it my all to get United back to
where our fans want to see us. Over the coming years it is personal
to me to bring the club back to where I want to see it.
“This is the most difficult time I can remember at the club," he adds.
"We are not playing well. We have difficulty just keeping the ball.
We are not fluent in passing the ball from player to player.
“We don’t seem to play in the opposition’s half,
win the second ball or put teams under pressure."
Van Nistelrooy acknowledges he is not being provided with the kind of
service he has become accustomed to over the last four seasons,
but he says the team are working hard on trying to regain their old magic.
“When I joined the club I used to get four or five chances
in every game," explains the striker.
“United have always been about good passing football, possession
and creating lots of chances. There used to be a constant stream of service.
Our attacking play used to be great and I enjoyed it. Now it is different.
“The question is, can those old days come back? It’s what we all want.
And the question is, how are we going to do it?
That’s the most important thing.
"We are definitely united," he adds. "It’s the natural reaction
when a team aren’t doing well to stick together even more.
Each of us knows within ourselves what needs to be done.”
