Richardson Pens New Deal
Kieran Richardson has signed a four-year deal that will keep him at Old
Trafford until June 2009.
Richardson signed the deal at United's Carrington training base on Friday
morning, on the day he celebrates his 21st birthday.
今天度過21歲生日的曼聯和英格蘭國家隊新星Richardson在生日這天得到一份最好的生日
禮物，他與紅魔簽訂了到2009年的新合同。
Kieran told ManUtd.com:
"I am happy to commit my future to Manchester United, it’s the club where
I want to be and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else."
「我很高興能夠繼續為曼聯效力，這裡是我最想停留的地方，我不敢想像自己離開曼聯
是怎樣的情形。」
The Greenwich-born player is primarily a midfielder but has gained
recognition for his ability to adapt to the left-back role in place
of the injured Gabriel Heinze in recent weeks.
He made his Reds debut three years ago, just two days after his 18th
birthday, in the Champions League against Olympiakos.
他代表曼聯的第一場比賽是歐冠比賽(vs Olympiakos)，當時只有18歲。
However, before the start of this season, he was yet to make a Premiership
start for the club.
The catalyst in his career came when he spent the latter part of last
season on loan with struggling West Brom.
His mature performances in the centre of midfield for Bryan Robson's Baggies
saw him return to United as a key member of Sir Alex's squad. The United
manager noted upon his return: "Kieran went to West Brom and came back a man."
