Manchester United have completed the ￡7m transfer of Serbia & Montenegro
international defender Nemanja Vidic from Spartak Moscow. 

以700萬英磅正式轉會曼聯

Vidic, 24, has been granted the work permit he had been waiting for and is
now expected to join up with his new team-mates on Friday.

今天拿到工作証了，預計星期五隨隊訓練

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson told MUTV: "Good defenders win you things.

"This lad is really natural and athletic. You need good defenders and that
is exactly what this lad is."

Vidic joined Spartak from Red Star Belgrade in July 2004.

The Serbian is part of his national side's "famous four" defence, which
conceded just one goal whilst qualifying for the World Cup.

New Boy Nemanja Trains With United

Nemanja Vidic has kicked his first ball as a United player following the
completion of his transfer from Spartak Moscow.

The Serbia & Montenegro international trained with his new team-mates for
the first time today, having obtained his work permit on Wednesday. He'd
previously passed a medical and agreed personal terms with the Reds.

Nemanja will wear the number 15.

In a statement, the club said today:

"Manchester United is pleased to announce it has reached agreement
with Spartak Moscow for the purchase of 24 year-old Serbia & Montenegro
international defender Nemanja Vidic for an undisclosed fee. The player
has signed a four-and-a-half year contract which will see him at the
club until June 2010."

轉會費700萬英鎊，簽約４年半，直到２０１０年～

Sir Alex Ferguson said: "I am delighted the two clubs have come to an
agreement. Nemanja is a quick, aggressive centre-half and at 24 will
be a terrific addition to the squad."

ManUtd.com broke the news on Christmas Day that United had agreed a fee
with Spartak.
