United miss out on Italian striker

Manchester United have missed out on one of Italy’s top young prospects
– and, for once, so have Chelsea.
The Reds and their Premiership rivals were both trailing Italy under-17
striker Salvatore Foti, but the youngster has chosen to stay in his
homeland and sign a deal with Serie A giants Sampdoria.
"Sampdoria have beaten off competition from Chelsea and Manchester United
so it's a credit to us," Acireale's youth coach Santo Palma told Sky Sports.
Foti has already made an impact at Sampdoria, netting his first goal
against Udinese in the Coppa Italia.

大利17歲前鋒弗蒂在本賽季開始前已經拒絕了曼聯，選擇加盟桑普多利亞，但是紅魔仍在
沒有放棄引進弗蒂的希望，至少曼聯的球探仍然在跟蹤觀察弗蒂的近況。
弗蒂是意大利17歲以下國家隊的主力前鋒，賽季開始前，曼聯和切爾西兩大英超豪門
都對他表現出了極高的興趣。不過弗蒂最終決定留在亞平寧，選擇了桑普多利亞。然而曼
聯還沒有放棄，意大利媒體中流傳著一種說法，曼聯已經提出了1100萬歐元的報價。
不過弗蒂目前的想法仍然十分堅定，他暫時不打算赴英超發展。弗蒂說：「我欠諾維
