England's World Cup win against Ecuador was top of the agenda in Stuttgart -
but there was a hot little rumour doing the rounds among the foreign media.

Namely, that Manchester United are close to sealing a ￡20m deal for Atletico
Madrid's brilliant striker Fernando Torres.

man with good contacts abroad and who now works in the foreign media, told

Time will tell if this is true, but if you are Manchester United fan, would

As for England, it was intriguing to see the change in body language among

for a soft drink in a popular cafe bar packed with fans watching a game on a
big screen.

He went completely unnoticed, unrecognised, ignored even.
