Birmingham boss Steve Bruce has apologised to City fans after he was seen
waving to Manchester United fans during the teams' Carling Cup game.
SB向伯明罕球迷道歉,因為伯明罕球迷看到他向曼聯球迷揮手致意。
Some Blues fans booed former United defender Bruce after he acknowledged
cheers from the away supporters during Tuesday's 3-1 defeat at St Andrews.
"As soon as I put my hand up I thought 'I shouldn't have done that,'" he said.
"If people want to hang me for this, that's up to them. But my commitment to
Birmingham cannot be questioned."
Bruce told the Birmingham Mail it had been an instinctive reaction and he had
not meant any offence by his actions.
"If our supporters were offended, then I apologise. It was not a slight on
them or our club," he said.
"Birmingham mean as much to me, if not more, than United. Remember, if you
include my time as a player, I've spent six years here."
