Ole To Be Given New Contract
United have confirmed they are ready to speak to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about
a new deal.
The Norwegian striker has been plagued by injuries during the last three
seasons and is currently recovering from a fractured cheekbone.
Solskjaer's current contract expires in the summer but chief executive
David Gill says the club want the 33-year-old to remain at Old Trafford.
"We want to keep Ole at the club and we are going to sort that out,"
declared Gill. "He has been a fantastic player for us and a fantastic
individual.
"I know he wants to stay and I am sure something will be sorted out.
"We have to make sure any deal reflects the situation and that it is
appropriate. Both parties want to make it work and I am sure we will,"
he added.
