Harrison: Gary Is Ideal Captain Material
把九二黃金一代拉拔出頭的著名前青年隊教練Eric Harrison相信Gary是
接替Keane的最佳隊長人選。
Harrison說：「Gary一定會愛死當隊長的！其實我早在他才十六歲時就讓他當
青年隊的隊長，十六歲的隊長在那時還算是相當年輕，但我了解他的為人和他身為
球員的表現絕對值得。
他很會在場上組織，而且他也會將訓練的成果全力表現在比賽上。
我想球迷也很希望Gary當隊長，光看上週末對West Ham他替補上場時熱烈的
起立歡呼就知道了。
雖然還沒聽到他自己說什麼，不過Gary絕對會愛極了當隊長這差事！
這搞不好能算是他職業生涯的巔峰呢～」
Former youth team coach Eric Harrison believes Gary Neville
is the ideal man to take over the United captaincy following
Roy Keane's departure.
Harrison handed Neville the armband as a 16-year-old during his days
in the youth team and the ex-coach says the England right-back
possesses all the qualities needed to become the new leader of the team.
"Gary would love the job," Harrison told ManUtd.com.
"I made him skipper of the youth team when he was sixteen
which was very young at the time. But I knew what he was like
as both a player and a person.
"I knew how good his organisational skills were on the field
and I knew that he would put all the work we did on the training pitch
into practice on the pitch.
"I think the fans would like to see him as skipper,
you only had to see the ovation he got when he came on at West Ham
last weekend.
"I don’t know what he’s said about it but I know he would absolutely
love it, in fact it would probably be the highlight of his career."
