Manchester UnitedSir Alex Ferguson has backed Italian sensation Giuseppe
Rossi to make the breakthrough at Manchester United this season.
The teenage striker has proved a huge hit since arriving at Old Trafford
from Parma.
Already a regular scorer in the reserves, the Italy youth international
has caught the eye of Sir Alex Ferguson - who is keen for Rossi to take
the step up.
"He's a good, young player," said the Scot.
"He is only 18 and he has a great future I hope.
"He is a fantastic finisher and his performances in the reserves tell
you that.
"Hopefully he will get even better.
"But he's a striker and it will get more difficult, because it is hard
to make it in that position.
"He's got great potential."
Parma are still upset at the departure of the teenager - believing they
were not granted enough compensation for their role in his development.
