Good Timing Pleases Ferguson
Sir Alex Ferguson was delighted by the timing of United's goals
in the 2-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park.
Ruud van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney struck either side of half-time,
and Ferguson claimed the nature of the goals knocked the stuffing
out of the hosts.
Sir Alex spoke to Sky just after the final whistle.
Here's what he had to say...
A Tough Encounter
"When you get the fixture list and you see Everton away
you know it'll be a very, very tough day, and that's the way it was.
In fairness to the lads got stuck in and got the goals at the right time
- just before half-time and just after - and that took the wind
out of their sails really."
Ruud And Rooney's Goals 兩大射手的進球
"They carried on from Tuesday.
I think goalscorers are that type of creature,
they want to score all the time. Ruud's been fantastic in pre-season,
and so has Wayne and they've notched important goals for us today."
射手就是無時無刻都愛進球的一種生物 :P
Debut-Boys Edwin And Ji-Sung 新人的表現
"Edwin showed his experience and composure at times
when we needed to calm the game down.
He had a great save in the first-half and made another good one
in the second half. His composure helped us through it.
Ji-sung's movement and tenacity were excellent
for us and he always gave us a threat in terms of penetration.
He'll be pleased with his performance."
Two Wins In A Row 連兩勝囉!
"The pleasing thing is that we're in decent form.
I don't think we played as well as we did on Tuesday,
but it was a different type of match today.
I must say that a lot teams will come here and find it very difficult
to play against Everton."
New Season, New Start 新賽季 新開始
"We've got to have a better record.
We dropped too many points against the bottom six last season
- and we never recovered. We've got a good start this season
and hopefully we can take advantage of that and go on into
a good spell of form."

to champions Chelsea, who start their defence of the title
at Wigan Athletic on Sunday.
"Listen, it's the first game of the season," he retorted.
"Give me a break!"
"When we get to March and April you can ask these questions
but the pleasing thing is I think we're in decent form."
