Fergie can smell United success
Sir Alex Ferguson says there is a "solid look" about his team,
after watching United take three points against Aston Villa on Saturday.
United created plenty of chances against David O'Leary's side
and should have come away with a bigger scoreline,
but overall Ferguson was pleased with the victory...

"I thought it was a good performance, I thought in the first-half
we were a little slow. I think maybe one or two were a little off the pace.
I think international football can do that with some players.
In the second-half we stepped up the speed of our game
and it made a big differnece with some good chances.
After 60 minutes you're hoping the goal comes and you're waiting for it
to happen, somewhere somebody's going to take the chances.

"I think that obviously last season was a very fragmented season for him.
It was partly our own fault for bringing him back too early
for the Milan game, but his fitness has been fantastic in pre-season
and he's getting the benefit of that now.
The smell of success 勝利的氣息
"I think there's a solid look about us. We've got goals there,
I can smell them myself. We had some good chances today,
in the second-half particularly. It's fair to say Thomas Sorensen
had a fantastic game, he made four fantastic saves.
But 1-0 at home, early in the season, Aston Villa came with
a good game plan which made it difficult for us.
They had five midfield players trying to close the middle of the pitch.
And most of their midfield players are good footballers,
they can take the ball and pass and that kept us from
getting real momentum at them, especially in the first half.
They showed a lot of great confidence in their play.
Chelsea v Arsenal
"Well I think if both lose that game we'll be happy!
To be honest I'm not really bothered about the game tomorrow.
I think the important thing is for us to win today.
We've done that and we should carry on keeping the momentum going.
When you're playing 38 games a season you have to get points.
Chelsea set the standard of 95 points last season,
we'd held that total of 91 points for years.
So somewhere along the line you have to get 90-plus points
and it doesn't matter where you get them."

The Manchester United said: “I will enjoy my Sunday lunch
and not bother my backside about that game.
I’d like them both to lose. It is so early in the season that
you cannot think this game will have any direct bearing on
who wins the League.”

賽中紅魔創造出了一些進球機會，雖然只是一球小勝，但弗格森仍然對整體表現感到滿意
。
上半時曼聯進入狀態似乎有些慢，很難撕開阿斯頓維拉的防線，對此，弗格森認為是
周中的國家隊比賽影響了部分隊員的節奏感。「我認為整體表現不錯，上半時我們的節奏
有些慢，我感覺也許有一兩個人沒有跟上節奏。國家隊賽事有時候會影響一些球員。下半
時我們加快了節奏，收效很明顯，創造了一些好機會。60分鐘之後，你感覺進球就要來了
，總會有人把握住機會破門的。」
最終是范尼斯特魯伊的進球帶來了3分，荷蘭人已經連續兩輪聯賽有所斬獲，弗格森
對他狀態復甦感到高興。「很顯然，上賽季對他來說有些支離破碎，部分是因為我們自己
的失誤，在同AC米蘭的冠軍杯賽上太早的讓他復出。不過在這個賽季前，他的狀態非常不
錯，現在也正在體現這一點。」

季拿了95分，超過了我們保持多年的91分，因此要想奪冠，你得拿到90多分，無論從誰身
上拿都一樣。」
