'They got a break for the first goal, but we did show some slack defending
at times,' admitted Ferguson. 'Still, I have to be pleased with
the attacking side of our game. I felt at half-time it was a game
that could have ended up at 20-all! Still, the second half was more normal
and it is a good three points for us.
'Fulham have big strong lads up front and they caused us a few problems.
There was a bit of slack defending in there at times and we'll have to
look at it. We let in another goal straight from a free kick,
but it can be difficult to control the modern balls as they swerve around
so much.'

Fergie Hails Lethal Attacking Play
Sir Alex Ferguson was delighted with United's exhilirating 3-2 victory
over Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The United boss gave special mention to Ji-sung Park, as well as
his front pairing of Ruud van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney
who between them have now scored every one of United's Premiership goals
this season.
Here's what the boss had to say to MUTV at the final whistle...
A Game Of One Half!
"I thought this match was going to be a real test for us
and they certainly were a handful. There were some mistakes in the
first half where we defended pretty badly but we tightened up after half-time.
"The match evened itself out and it became quite a dogged game
in the second half but you have to get through these type of matches
although it was very much a game of one half!
"The memories of last season when they scored with the last kick of
the ball were very much in our minds. We should have won by ten
that night but thankfully today we played some good football
and got the result."

"It was end-to-end at times in the first half;
some of our attacking football was excellent
and I thought we could have scored a lot of goals.
"Ji-sung Park gave us great penetration while the likes of Ruud,
Rooney and Giggs all played their part as well."

"The first goal we conceded was a bit of scramble between
Collins John and Rio. I thought it may have been a foul
- although I'd have to have another look at it - but unfortunately for us
John got the break and was able to give Fulham a great start.
"We recovered well to come back into it but their second goal
was very disappointing. It's another free-kick we've let in
and it looked to me like we were far too open."

he's looking very powerful and is leading the line fantastically well
- he's a real centre forward."
