意大利16歲右後衛阿爾貝托-馬薩奇(Alberto Massacci)證實，在弗格森親自打電話
邀請之下，他已經成功加盟曼聯。過去，因為搶奪意甲年輕球員羅西和馬切達，曼聯就曾
遭到拉齊奧等意大利俱樂部的批評，這一次，弗格森的挖角行動又再成功。
這是因為英超存在學徒制度，可以與球員簽學徒合同，而在意大利，18歲前球員都得
不到合同保障。「當弗爵爺打電話給我的時候，我不敢相信那是真的。」效力於恩波利的
右後衛馬薩奇在《米蘭體育報 La Gazzetta dello Sport》上說，「我跟他談了有一個小
時那麼久，用的是英語。他似乎是個謙遜的人，俱樂部也沒有人在我肩上施加壓力。」
馬薩奇是在去年波丹諾內進行的加利尼國際邀請賽中當選賽會最佳球員而被球探看中
的，這位至今尚未代表過恩波利一線隊的小將已經接受了曼聯的體檢，週日將會飛赴曼徹

"When Sir Alex Ferguson rang me up, I couldn't believe it," he told the
Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I had an hour-long conversation with him, in English. He seemed a humble
person and nobody from the club made the pressure of an historic side weigh
on my shoulders.
"In life a chance like this only comes past you once, so you've got to grab
it with both hands. It isn't an easy decision aged 16 to leave home, family
and friends, but I don't want to have regrets."
