Butt backed to become coach
－－Veteran midfielder set to call time on playing career in summer

　　Nicky Butt is set to retire at the end of the season and has been backed
by Newcastle boss Chris Hughton to move into coaching.

　　The 35-year-old midfielder has been a bit-part player during the Magpies'
charge to the Championship title this season, making just 10 league starts.

　　But as the club captain, the former England international will lift the
Championship trophy at St James' Park on Saturday, drawing the curtain on a
trophy-laden career.

　　Butt famously came through the ranks at Manchester United with the golden
generation of David Beckham, Paul Scholes and the Neville brothers.

隊長Butt將會在賽季結束後約滿，並結束球員生涯。
球員生涯從曼聯92黃金一代至現在，多次為效力的球隊奪標（也曾經有很低潮的時候）
雖然這賽季作為紐卡升班而且拿下金牌可樂的重要成員
但聯賽只曾上陣十場

Trophy-laden career

　　He made his debut in 1992 and went on to win six Premier League titles,
three FA Cups and a Champions League winner's medal with United.

　　Butt, who won 39 caps for England, has served Newcastle since making a
￡2.5million move there in 2004, racking up 133 league appearances.

自1992年於曼聯出道，期間獲得六次英超桂冠，三次足總盃還有99年的歐冠冠軍
並39次代表三獅隊比賽
2004年以￡2.5m加入紐卡，並參加了133場聯賽。

　　But his contract expires in the summer and Hughton believes he has the
character to become a successful coach.

　　"If I look at the period of time I've been here, Nicky has been a
wonderful ambassador," he said.

　　"I knew of him before, of course, and his achievements at United when he
was one of that group of young quality players.

休頓大叔相信 Butt 的特點，能轉型成為一名成功的教練
不只是在曼聯時的優異表現
他回想這段相處的日子，說 Butt 是一名優秀的大使
意思是他很能夠與隊友和教練團溝通


Grandeur

　　"What I've seen of him in my time here is exactly that - someone with the
grandeur he had at United.

　　"He's 35 now but is someone that trains well every day, and when we've
needed performances from him, we've got them.

　　"With the squad we've got, he wouldn't have got the amount of minutes on
the pitch someone of his competitive nature would have liked.

35歲的Butt在每天的訓練課保持很好的表現
他能完成教練團給他的要求（算是有啦，只是在英超顯然不太適合）
並厭惡每場溫板凳等待上場的機會

　　"He's a hard player to leave out because he's a good player. He has
characteristics to be a coach or a manager and certainly has great experience
and knowledge of the game.

　　"A coaching position here is not something we've spoken about but Nicky
is the club captain and will pick up the trophy on Saturday."

Butt 將會以隊長的身份完成最後一場主場的比賽還有接受冠軍獎盃！
