Made one early superb save but it only delayed the inevitable. No
chance for goals

Fletcher: 6
Gave it his all in the three man defence but his spark
unfortunately missed in that role

Carrick: 5
Exposed this time in his emergency role. Struggled at times when in
direct combat with Zamora

De Laet: 5
Three man defence made it tough for the Belgian as did coming up
against Zamora

Evra: 5
Disadvantaged when in advanced role and Duff made hay

Valencia: 5
Rarely had the opportunity to get at Fulham and when he did he ran
into trouble

Scholes: 4
Not his day at all. Early booking for bad tackle and much of his
passing was off

Gibson: 4
Was largely anonymous in the midfield battle and off target with a
couple of trademark blockbuster chances

Anderson: 4
The Braziian never stamped any authority on the match and his
distribution was woeful

Rooney: 6
Couldn't fault his endeavour as usual but it was banging head against
a brick wall time

Owen: 4
The confidence banked from his Wolfsburg hat trick has clearly leaked
away on the bench
