United: No offers for Smith

Manchester United have still not received a single offer for Alan Smith,
chief executive David Gill has confirmed.
Sir Alex Ferguson recently hinted that Smith could leave Old Trafford
before the end of the summer, as he would not be guaranteed regular
football this season.
Middlesbrough have been credited with an interest in the former Leeds
striker and a number of other Premier League clubs are understood to
be monitoring his situation.
Gill admits there have been a number of enquiries, including one by text,
but insists nobody has yet made a formal bid.
He confirmed: "As yet, we have not had any firm offers for Alan Smith.
"A couple of clubs have called to ask us about the situation and we
received a text from someone else about it this morning.
"We will see what happens but so far nothing has resulted from it."
Giuseppe Rossi's future has also been the subject of speculation since
Ferguson revealed that he too could find life difficult at United this
season.
However, Gill has intimated there could now be a genuine desire to keep
him at the club.
"Giuseppe is a player who has attracted interest, particularly from
overseas, but at the moment he is part of the team and that is how
it will stay," he explained.
"There are a number of young players who have been on loan and have come
back to be part of the squad for next season and Giuseppe is one of them."

雖然特維斯的加盟依然沒能敲定，但相信流產的可能性不大，一旦阿根廷來到老特
拉福德，紅魔鋒線將人滿為患，不出意料的話，首先被清洗的將是阿蘭-史密斯。
據《泰晤士報》透露，對於史密斯，曼聯已經待價而沽，只要其他球隊開出合適的
價格，他就可以轉會，而這名前利茲前鋒的身價，估計在600萬英鎊左右。
在追逐史密斯的球隊裡，米德爾斯堡是最有誠意的一支。事實上，最近他們正與曼
聯頻繁接觸，即使曼聯總裁大衛-吉爾去了中國，他也收到了米堡無數的電話，不過雙方
依然沒有達成共識，因此史密斯也隨隊參加了遠東之旅。
「到現在為止，我們還沒有收到關於史密斯的正式報價。」吉爾講道，「許多俱樂
部打電話問了他的情況，今早我們確實收到了一份傳真，不過我們還得考慮一下，現在
還沒有任何確定的結果。」
不管怎樣，史密斯告別效力三年的曼聯，似乎只存在時間問題，不過羅西留在老
特拉福德的機會到是不小。「對羅西感興趣的球隊很多，很多都來自海外，但他依然會
留在球隊。在曼聯有很多年輕球員租借後成為球隊一員，羅西也是其中一個。」
不過今晚的比賽，曼聯的另外一名替補前鋒董方卓將獲得亮相機會，弗格森已經確
認了這點，而C羅和魯尼也有向外界展示自己採訪的機會。爵爺在接受採訪時搞笑地表示
：「這個賽季我不會再和羅納爾多打賭了，因為我要求他打進35球，他認為不可能。」
除了C羅外，他的同胞納尼也將是今晚的焦點，對深圳的比賽，他已經打進一球，而
與廣州隊的比賽，這位前里斯本競技的小將有望繼續發威。
