英超計劃到海外舉辦比賽 效仿NBA進軍全球市場

英超俱樂部夏天去海外進行熱身和商業比賽司空見慣，但英超聯賽也有可能很快奔
赴海外。
20家英超俱樂部今天同意召開會議研究把英超聯賽推廣到海外的提議，這個提議包
括了每支球隊一個賽季都要多踢一場比賽，也就是39場比賽。新增加的10場比賽將在全
球進行，承辦權由各個城市競爭。亞洲，中東和北美等英超影響力非常大的地區將很有
可能是舉辦地。
會議還沒有決定賽程如何安排，但有一個提議就是進行抽籤，聯賽前五名也參加抽
籤，但他們被設為種子隊，這樣他們就不會彼此相遇。這些比賽的積分將會算在英超聯
賽的積分當中。
因為現在到海外進行英超比賽的提議只是一個雛形，所以各家俱樂部還會進行進一
步的探討，在今年夏天英超聯賽舉行年會之前，不會達成正式決定。如果最終通過，可
能會在2010-2011賽季實施此計劃。
去年NFL（美國橄欖球大聯盟）的邁阿密海豚隊和紐約噴氣機隊在新溫布利球場進
行了一場比賽，這是NFL的第一場海外比賽，另外他們確認今年還會有一場比賽。
繼英超俱樂部單獨的海外比賽後，整個英超聯賽都將向海外擴軍。英超聯賽的此舉
就是模仿NFL和NBA，在全球擴大商業利益，進一步完善已經高度發達的商業開發，擴大
在全球球迷中的影響力。我們不需要飛往英國，就能欣賞英超四大豪門比賽的日子看來
已經指日可待了。

proposal that creates a new round of 10 competitive fixtures to be played
across the world over one weekend in January beginning season 2010/11.

The main aspects of the plans are:
＊ An additional round of Premier League fixtures, extending the season
to 39 games, from January 2011
＊ Four clubs to travel to one of five host cities, with two games taking
place in each venue over a weekend
＊ Cities would bid for the right to become a host, not for individual
matches
＊ Points earned from the games would count towards the final Premier
League table
