曼聯向鐵衛開出最終合同 爵爺承認可能失去布朗

曼聯主帥弗格森強調，俱樂部已經向後衛布朗開始最終合同，如果布朗仍然不同意
在這份新合同上簽字，那麼紅魔將不會再向這位英格蘭後衛提供合同，弗格森強調，一
切的決定權在布朗手上。
布朗當前與曼聯的合同將會在明年夏天到期，而到了明年的1月1日之後，他將可以
與其他俱樂部討論自由轉會的問題。弗格森透露，他希望28歲的布朗繼續留在老特拉福
德，但是他強調，能否順利續約，最終的決定權在布朗手上。
「我們沒有達成任何協議，決定權在布朗手上。」弗格森說：「我們與他的經紀人
面談過幾次，新合同談判的進展慢得令你難以想像，有些球員的經紀人很難應付。」
「他拒絕了我們最初提供的合同，我們覺得我們已經向他提供了一份很好的最終合
同，現在能否續約真的完全是看他自己的決定了，我們將不會再向他提供另一份合同。
就目前的情況看來，我們有失去他的可能性，如果真的是這樣，那麼這會令人十分失望
。」
布朗在1996年7月加盟曼聯，到目前為止，他已經代表紅魔上陣超過270場比賽。在
隊長加裡-內維爾一直因傷缺陣的情況下，這位全能後衛本賽季已經成為曼聯右後衛的
主力球員。如果失去布朗，那麼這對曼聯來說將會是一個沉重的打擊。
曼聯此前已經與吉格斯、維迪奇及奧謝等人續約，埃夫拉與門將范德薩也即將得到
新合同，但是令人感到意外的是，一直對曼聯忠心耿耿的布朗竟然拒絕了紅魔最初提出
的合同，埃夫拉及范德薩的續約計劃也因此被迫推遲。

Final offer for Wes
Sir Alex Ferguson insists the club have made their final offer to Wes Brown
over a new contract.
The defender's current deal runs out next summer and come 1 January he is
free to speak to other clubs.
Sir Alex would like the 28-year-old to stay at Old Trafford, but admits the
decision is now down to Brown himself.
"Nothing has been agreed and that's entirely up to Wes," explained the boss
on Friday.

"We've had several meetings with his agent and that is difficult as you can
imagine - some agents are difficult [to deal with].

"He's rejected one offer and we feel we've made him a good final offer and it

Brown signed for the club as a trainee in July 1996 and has made over 270
appearances for the Reds. The centre-back has been a reliable squad member
throughout that time and is currently enjoying his most prolonged run in the
side, ably filling in for the injured Gary Neville at right-back.
