在兩個多月的評估後。 Sir Alex 在今天宣布 Mike Phelan（45）接任葡萄牙人離去
的位置。 這位原本是一線隊的教練將會榮升成隊中第二號人物。
Mike Phelan球員時代也曾經效力過曼聯過，司職後腰或右後衛，同時也是英超成立
後首個冠軍的成員之一。Phelan 在2001年加入曼聯教練團班底，該年也是 McClaren
離開助教的位置去到米堡當主帥。
另外今年重新加入教練團的荷蘭人 Rene Meulensteen（44）也從技術發展教練升至
一線隊教練。
